Join in protecting this wonderful piece of English countryside
The Standen Fruit Farm Community Association is a UK charity that works to maintain this historic Kentish orchard. It’s run entirely by volunteers who give up their time to ensure that the 50+ acres provide a haven for wildlife and that the extensive number of apple and cherry trees are looked after for the benefit of all.
We welcome new members to the Association who share the ideals of the founders who had the vision to protect this important site in the 1980s.
Volunteer work morning
Our next working morning for plot owners, volunteers and trustees will take place on Saturday 7 August at 10.00 a.m.
This is a great chance to get involved with some of the routine maintenance tasks at the orchard, as well as to meet some of the Association's members, plot owners and others who have an interest in this remarkable traditional orchard.
Meet us on Saturday 7 August at the gate opposite Chapel House from 10.00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there - and it's as much a social occasion as a working one, so don't worry if you aren't able to help with physical tasks. We'd just love to meet you!
Volunteer! There are so many ways to lend a helping hand
We always need volunteers for winter pruning of trees through to apple picking in the autumn.
We welcome new volunteers to the small family that ensures Standen Street Fruit Farm is maintained for today and for future generations.
Make a donation today
We welcome donations of any size to support the work of the Association. Donations can be made via PayPal by selecting the amount you would like to give. You do not need a PayPal account as the system allows debit and credit cards to be used.
How Donations Are Used
Your donation goes towards the essential maintenance of Standen Street Fruit Farm in the heart of the Kent countryside.
From pruning to grass cutting, ditch maintenance to identifying the apple varieties, every penny makes a positive contribution to making sure this important piece of English heritage is kept in the best possible condition for today and for generations to come.
