Getting involved

Join in protecting this wonderful piece of English countryside

The Standen Fruit Farm Community Association is a UK charity that works to maintain this historic Kentish orchard. It’s run entirely by volunteers who give up their time to ensure that the 50+ acres provide a haven for wildlife and that the extensive number of apple and cherry trees are looked after for the benefit of all.

We welcome new members to the Association who share the ideals of the founders who had the vision to protect this important site in the 1980s.

Apple Day 2021

Join us at the Orchard from 1.00 p.m. on Sunday 10 October when our traditional Apple Day takes place.

This year the event is bigger and better - we've got live music, competitions for the kids, local craft stalls, honey, plants, apple pressing, food and much more!

It's a great opportunity to see the Orchard and to meet plot owners, Trustees and volunteers who together maintain this traditional Orchard for today and the future.

See the event leaflet here to learn about what's happening and find out about the stalls and music.

Pop TN17 4LB into your satnav, or into What3Words to take you to an afternoon of fun, entertainment and exploration!

Volunteer! There are so many ways to lend a helping hand

We always need volunteers for winter pruning of trees through to apple picking in the autumn.

We welcome new volunteers to the small family that ensures Standen Street Fruit Farm is maintained for today and for future generations.
